FEED

The Front End Engineering Design (FEED) study moves the conceptual choice from idea to viable solution that is easy to construct and operate. The primary purpose of the FEED study is to provide a cost estimate, which enables the final investment decision. Moreover, it provides the basis for the EPC or detailed engineering tender and contract.

Our Front End Engineering Design study embraces the full project lifecycle
In the FEED study, Microsource specialists take into account the entire lifecycle needs of an asset, enabling us to present robust solutions.
We aim for design solutions that are easy to fabricate, install, operate and maintain. Our FEED studies are therefore geared towards making the right operational and materials choices, reducing costs and risks, whilst keeping down-time to a minimum.

Deliverables in the FEED phase
Our cost estimates for FEED will be accompanied by a number of deliverables that substantiate the estimates and serve as a basis for procurement of items with long lead times. If required, the FEED study can also address environmental or regulatory aspects.

Our services within FEED cover:
• Cost & weight estimation
• Safety and control system philosophies
• Equipment sizing and specifications for utilities
• Material Take-Off lists (MTO’s) and specifications of long lead items
• Installation procedures
• Preparation of EPC tender material
• Design verification
